How make a perfect french tip

I thought of this idea awhile ago have been using it basically every time I need to do French tips :)

Materials
White nail polish
Translucent pink nail polish
Top coat (clear nail polish)
Tape
Nail clippers

Start off with clean nails. Cut out a piece tape (about 1 inch), then use your nail clippers to cut into the piece of tape, now it should have a curve where you cut into the tape.
After that apply the piece of tape with the curved side just above the smile line (the curved white at the end of the nail) and press down firmly all over the nail, this will help prevent the nail polish from bleeding under the tape. Now paint the tip of the nail, after 10 seconds peel of the tape. If the polish does bleed use a q-tip or a nail art brush dipped in nail polish remover to cleanup.

Now apply 1-2 coats of the translucent polish over the nail. When the nail polish is dry apply the clear nail polish.

You can use this technique with other colors, too!

Thanks for reading, I hope you try this and works for you, too!

Hi :)

Hi,
I'm Katy and I'm a nail artist (not a pro) I learned just about everything I know about nail art and nail care from YouTube ;) I started doing nail art in like 2011. Since then I've learned a lot of stuff, and my nail polish collection has grown tremendously!
On this blog I'll post stuff about nails, nail care, and maybe how to's on building things related to nails.

Keep in touch,
